While waiting for the pupae to eclosed, I got bored and decide to do an experiment with backlit flash.
This was the original pupae I posted earlier.
Canon 40D, Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro
1/160, f18, ISO200. Only the Canon 580 EX Mk2 flash mounted on the camera was used.
This shot was taken yesterday using the same camera and lenses.
1/100, f14, ISO100. For this shot I place a Sigma 500DG Super flash and set that as slave at -1 FEC and place that in bounce position with a bounce reflector at the flash head, and place that about 8 inches behind the leaf.
The front flash which is the Canon 580 EX Mk2 is also set in bounce position with a reflector, set as master, is camera mounted.
